About Condition Clear

About the author
My name is Jason, and I’ve been around since 1978. For the last five years I’ve called California’s central coast home. I’m a creative director for LEVEL Studios in San Luis Obispo. I get paid to make interesting things with talented, interesting people. Right now I’m spending most of my free time working on ELEANOR, a graphic novel.
I’m married to Felicia, the world’s cutest knitter, and we share our home with two excitable little guys (Radar, a chihuahua; Dr. Meatloaf, a Boston terrier), one grumbly old-man cat (Oscar), one rather detached little lady cat (Gabby), and Mochi, the chinchilla ninja.
About the illustrations
I’ve been sketching rather amateurishly since I was a kid. The last few years, I’ve spent a little more time on it. I spend a lot of time in meetings while working at my day job, and like many creative-types I listen better when my motor skills are engaged. I’ll be sharing my work here, but you can see more in my Flickr photostream. I also sell prints of my work at InPrnt, deviantART and Zazzle.
About the site
Condition Clear is my illustration (and sometimes personal) blog. It’s not as wet-behind-the-ears as the slim archives make it look. It’s the slightly better-looking cousin of Deeplyshallow, the personal blog I’ve published since ’98. It’s a little strange to be running a site on a borrowed server, with a templated design, but not that strange. It’s so much easier than the awful HTML hackery I was engaging in on the old site. (The old site’s still around, if you’re an archaeologist.)
Also, all illustrations are copyright Jason Gurley, of course. Watch it.
